Membership
If you’re looking at this page, then you’ve come to the right place to find out about joining us.
In the adult section, with our men’s and women’s 1st XI playing in the National Premier League at one end and Back To Hockey at the other, we offer hockey for all abilities and for beginners. We have 8 women’s teams, 7 regular men’s teams, 3 men’s vet’s teams (O40, O50, O60 who play on a Saturday. As well as some morning mid week sessions for the older age group.
In the junior section, we have over 600 players, start at 5 years old though to Under 18. And many of out over 13 also play in the Saturday senior leagues too. Juniors either play matches/competitions or train on Sundays, and train on another week night.
If you would like to join the adult section please email admin@jiwahockey.com, please introduce yourself and let us know what level you (would like to) play at. You can also click the join button in the top right of this website, when asked for a team, please select either the MENS or WOMENS sections.
If you are under 18 or your child would like to join, please email admin@jiwahockey.com. Let us know the school year/ DOB of the child and ask us any questions you might have,. We will be able to send you a special form we have for joining the juniors section and also make sure you have all the info about training times, kit and the like.

Welcome to the 2023/2024 season
Club membership is administered through our website and allows members to sign up to the club and pay online. This enables the club to be effective in its member administration, as well as tracking player availability and team selection. This is a requirement for our CASC status and will be followed by all teams.
To join Reading Hockey Club:
1) Register with the club website (make sure that you confirm your email address)
2) Choose what role you would like to apply for: Player or Club (social) Member
3) Fill in your registration details to request to join the club and add your photo
4) All Under 18’s need a parent or guardian who should join the club as Parent role
5) New Under 18’s should request and fill in a Juniors new membership form via admin@jiwahockey.com
5) Go to the Shop section to pay your membership online
Subscriptions
All members of Jiwa Hockey Club pay an annual subscription to join the club and players who play adult matches pay a match fee.
• There are different membership bands available, depending on age and circumstances of the member.
• The club offers discounts for students in full time tertiary education, returning Colts members after tertiary education (for two seasons), sixth formers and veterans playing only in the London Hockey League. And also to brand new members.
• To qualify for any discount, members must fully complete the membership form with up-to-date information and photograph.
• The club would like to encourage parents and spectators to join the club as a social member.
• Normal club hardship rules apply.
